On February 17th, from 1-4 PM, I will be hosting a rehearsal/recording session/feedback session for my guided improv piece entitled “I had writer’s block“ (this is a working title and I am very much looking for feedback on a new title!) at Persona Studio. The piece is inspired by elitism in classical music, especially in voice education. I wrote this piece in part as a way to heal from feeling “not enough“ or “lesser“ as a composer and singer, and I hope this recording session can be healing for other singers who may be experiencing a similar sort of imposter syndrome.
